We supply and install marquees for weddings at venues across the Algarve — private quintas, clifftop villas, vineyards and riverside estates. If you already have a venue in mind, we can advise on size, layout and installation. If you’re still looking, the three venues below are ones we know well and have worked at directly.
Every wedding is different. Some couples hire an entire estate for the weekend; others add a marquee to a family villa to create the space they need for dinner and dancing. We handle the structure, the lighting, the flooring and the furniture — so the venue keeps its character and you have the space to host properly.
A small selection of Algarve venues we’ve installed marquees at. Each has the outdoor space, access and character that suit a marquee wedding well. All are available for private hire — the links below go to the venue operators directly.
A secluded riverside retreat in the Algarve countryside, Figs on the Funcho sits beside the Funcho river among fig, carob and almond trees. The outdoor decks and flat riverside grounds take a marquee well — there’s space for a ceremony at the water’s edge and a separate area for the reception structure, with views over the river throughout.
Guests tend to arrive to a welcome by the infinity pool, move to a waterfront ceremony, then gather under the marquee for dinner as the evening comes in over the valley. Mature trees, running water and open sky — a backdrop that’s difficult to replicate at a conventional venue.
Available for exclusive hire. Suits intimate celebrations through to medium-sized receptions.
A historic, family-owned vineyard near Lagoa, Morgado do Quintão is one of the oldest wine estates in the Algarve. Open land between the vines creates natural space for marquee placement, with vineyard views on every side. A stretch tent sits particularly well here — the organic lines complement the countryside rather than imposing on it.
The estate has a quiet, unhurried quality. Outdoor dining under ancient olive trees, wine tasting from the estate’s own label, and a setting that feels genuinely rooted in the Algarve. Long views over rolling vineyards, good light throughout the day, and stone terraces that add character to any celebration.
Available for private events. Suits couples who want a countryside setting with wine and character at the heart of the day.

Quinta Albasol is a clifftop villa near Porches with seven bedrooms, sea views, and direct access to coastal paths and remote beaches. The grounds provide open space above the coastline for both a ceremony and a marquee reception, with the clifftop position giving a backdrop that few locations in the Algarve can match.
The villa accommodates guests on-site, which simplifies logistics considerably for destination weddings. Private, away from resort areas, and genuinely scenic — a good option for couples who want a setting that feels like it belongs to them for the weekend rather than a managed event space.
Available for exclusive private hire. All enquiries through Tom Longhurst.

You don’t need to pick from the list above. Most of the weddings we supply are at private villas, rented quintas, family estates or venues the couple has found themselves. If you’ve already signed a contract or reserved a date somewhere, send us the address and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
We’ve installed at cliff-edge villas in Albufeira and Carvoeiro, rural quintas in the Serra de Monchique, estate houses in the eastern Algarve and hotel grounds along the coast. Provided there’s reasonable vehicle access and enough flat ground for the structure, we can usually make it work. A quick site visit — or a good set of photos and measurements — is the fastest way to confirm.
For couples who haven’t chosen a venue yet, we can also point you toward others we’ve worked at and trust. Fifteen years of installations across the region means we have a good feel for what suits larger parties, what handles a stretch tent well, and which locations give you the privacy most couples are after.
The Best Wedding Venues in the Algarve guide goes deeper into the wider venue options if you’re still narrowing down.
In most cases, yes. We need reasonable vehicle access for delivery, enough flat ground for the structure you want, and a power supply for lighting and catering equipment. Private villas, quintas, vineyards and estate houses all tend to work well. Hotel and resort venues sometimes have restrictions on outside suppliers — if you’re considering one, check with them first and send us what they say.
May through October is the main wedding season, with the most reliable weather. June, July and September are the most popular months. For summer dates, a stretch tent is worth considering — the airflow design keeps the interior comfortable even on warm afternoons. Outside peak season the Algarve is quieter and often less expensive, with mild temperatures that still suit outdoor celebrations well.
In most cases, no — temporary structures on private land for a single event do not require formal planning permission in Portugal. Requirements can vary depending on the municipality and the scale of the structure. We can advise based on the specific venue and size of installation you’re planning.
Yes, and it’s one of the most common approaches in the Algarve. Private villas and quintas typically have the outdoor space, privacy and character that suit marquee installations well. The main practical considerations are access for delivery vehicles, suitable ground conditions, and adequate power supply. A site visit before confirming any booking resolves most questions.
As a guide: a 6 x 9m tent suits 30 to 40 guests; a 12 x 15m tent handles 90 to 120; and a 20 x 15m structure accommodates up to 180. These sizes include space for dining, a dance floor, a bar area and general movement. If you’re adding a catering tent, lounge area or other features, factor those in separately. We can work through the numbers with you based on your guest list and chosen venue.
